Update to Rates for Select Pathology and Cytopathology CPT Codes

Effective for dates of service on or after December 1, 2016, reimbursement rates have been established for CPT codes 88112 (cytopathology, selective cellular enhancement technique with interpretation, except cervical or vaginal) and 88333 (pathology consultation during surgery; cytologic examination, initial site). Affected claims will be reprocessed with an Erroneous Payment Correction (EPC) for dates of service on or after December 1, 2016.
