Effective August 1, 2023 Age-Based Codes policy, Professional

• Effective for dates of service on or after August 1, 2023, UnitedHealthcare will align with CPT and HCPCS code descriptors, and correct coding requirements, to enforce correct age-appropriate code submission.
• Procedure codes submitted for members outside the appropriate age ranges for the codes wil be ineligible for reimbursement.
