Know How TRICARE Regions Are Changing in 2025
September 26, 2024Starting January 1, 2025, six states (Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wisconsin) will transition from TRICARE’s East Region to the West Region under new contracts. Beneficiaries in these states will switch from Humana Military to TriWest Healthcare Alliance as their regional contractor. Key actions include updating personal details in the DEERS system, setting up a TriWest account, and ensuring payment and provider details are current. Ongoing care will remain uninterrupted, with TriWest coordinating services for critical conditions like cancer and pregnancy.
