ACR Asks Radiologists to Help Find Congressional Sponsors for the Find It Early Act
October 24, 2024The American College of Radiology (ACR) is encouraging its members to contact U.S. representatives to support the Find It Early Act (H.R. 3086). This bipartisan bill, introduced by Representatives Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-3) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-1), aims to enhance early breast cancer detection by ensuring insurance covers supplemental breast imaging at no cost to patients. Currently, insurance coverage for these screenings varies widely, often resulting in out-of-pocket expenses and potential care delays. The Find It Early Act seeks to eliminate these gaps, mandating coverage for essential follow-up imaging across all insurance programs, including private plans, TRICARE, and the VA.
