2014 HCPCS Billing Delay

This is a notification that BCBSAZ will delay the implementation of any new 2014 HCPCS codes until late January. Delay is due to the late release of the 2014 code information from CMS. This delay will affect billing of any new 2014 HCPCS for the first few weeks in 2014. We suggest holding any billing of new 2014 HCPCS until February 1 to avoid having your claims rejected or returned. Once the new codes can be implemented, they will be retroactive to January 1.
